Job Summary
Your main duties will be structural design and
drafting. You will be expected to demonstrate leadership and initiative
in executing your work. You will be able to solve problems independently
with only supervisory input from lead engineers. You will be expected
to lead small projects and may get involved with project management
for certain clients.

Education Requirements
- CAD/CAM Engineering Technology Diploma from
a recognized institution
- Architectural Technologist Diploma from
a recognized institution
- Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma from
a recognized institution, or
- Computer Aided Design & Drafting Technologist
Diploma from a recognized institution

Responsibilities
- Structural Drafting & Design using 2D
(AutoCAD) & 3D (Inventor & AutoCAD) concepts
- Project Leadership
- Mentorship of junior staff
- Possible IT assistance and programming

Qualifications and Skills
This position requires demonstrated strength
of leadership and proven time management capabilities. Your knowledge
of the Mining Sector and your technical expertise will round out
your qualifications for this position.
Candidates who demonstrate vision and enthusiasm
for their work will be supported in taking the company's business
into new areas of interest.

Key Knowledge and Experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural
CAD are a must. Experience working in the consulting field with
practice in design, drafting and 3D CAD would be an asset. Heavy
industrial exposure would also be an asset, especially in the
area of mining and, more specifically, potash mining.
Specialized experience in the following software
would also be considered an asset; AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Inventor,
Microsoft Access & Office, and VBA. Other programming expertise
would be very beneficial.
